John Dimase is a welcome presence on today's music scene. He is praised by peers and critics for his ability to move an audience through melody, through his horn and his voice.
Born and raised in Albany, New York, John grew up in a music-loving family. John quickly started to make a name for himself in high school through festivals and educational opportunities, and went on to study jazz at Temple University, majoring in jazz trumpet performance and later adding voice.
John has had the pleasure of learning from and playing with some of the greatest musicians of our time including Christie Dashiell, Renee Marie, Sachal Vasandani, Jimmy Greene, Michael Rodriguez, Joe Magnarelli, Tim Warfield, John Swana, Marcus Printup, Sean Jones, Jon Faddis, Antonio Hart, Terell Stafford, and Wynton Marsalis among others.
Currently living in Philadelphia, PA, John is an active member in the city's music scene. He frequently performs at Chris' Jazz Café and other staple venues in Philly, New York, and beyond.
